Frequently Asked Questions
Click the "+ Add Tank" button on your dashboard. Fill in the tank details (name, type, volume, dimensions)
and click "Create Tank". You can then start adding livestock, plants, and measurements.
At minimum, track pH, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. For planted tanks, also track GH, KH,
and CO2. For reef tanks, add calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium. TankLogbook supports all these parameters
and more.
For new tanks, test daily during the cycling period. Once established, weekly testing is usually sufficient.
Test more frequently if you notice issues or after major changes. TankLogbook can remind you when it's time to test.
Bioload is the waste produced by fish and inverts in your tank. Higher bioload means more maintenance required.
TankLogbook calculates bioload based on your livestock and warns you if your tank is overcrowded.
Yes! You can import tank data and measurements via CSV files. Go to Settings > Import/Export for more details.
We support standard CSV formats from most aquarium apps.
