Behavior & Temperament
Peaceful and sessile. Attaches firmly to smooth surfaces (glass, rocks). Moves slowly while grazing algae. Difficult to remove without damage.

Herbivore - surface algae, diatoms, biofilm, microalgae
Breeding
Oviparous. Lays eggs on hard surfaces. Larvae require brackish water. Reproduction does not occur in pure fresh water.
Care Notes
Requires moderate flow to feed. Do not pull it out forcefully (it may be damaged). Sensitive to copper. Mature tank with established algae.
Compatibility
Excellent for any community tank. Does not compete with other inhabitants. Great in tanks with current.
