About
Mushroom‑shaped soft coral, available in many colors. Ideal for shaded areas of the aquarium. One of the easiest corals for beginners.
Behavior & Temperament
Disc-shaped sessile form. Tolerates low light. Can move slowly. Expands and contracts with conditions. May cover nearby rocks.
Feeding
Photosynthetic - zooxanthellae provide main nutrition. Absorbs dissolved nutrients. Supplemental feeding with fine particles optional
Breeding
Asexually reproduced by oral disc division (pedal laceration). Proliferates easily. Simple fragmentation in the hobby by cutting the disc.
