About
Formerly, Pomacea bridgesii was used as a generic name for the small “mystery snails.” Today, the scientific community (after morphological and genetic studies) has officially separated the species:
Pomacea bridgesii – valid species, but restricted to Bolivia – rarely used in the trade;
Pomacea diffusa – valid species and predominant in the hobby – the true “Mystery Snail.”
Behavior & Temperament
Peaceful and active. Excellent aquarium cleaner. Feeds on leftovers, algae and dead plants. Dual respiration (gills and lung).

Omnivore - balanced diet
Breeding
Oviparous. Not hermaphroditic, requires a male and a female. Pink eggs are deposited above the water line. Hatching in 2–3 weeks.
