Behavior & Temperament
Peaceful and slow. Larger than the yellow variant. Sifts soft substrate in search of debris. Constant activity throughout the day.
Feeding
Omnivore - snail food, blanched vegetables, algae, dried leaves, spirulina
Breeding
Livebearing. Produces one offspring at a time, enclosed in a milky sac. Reproduction is very slow. The young are born with a miniature shell.
Care Notes
Hot, alkaline water required. Supplemental calcium for shell maintenance. Sandy substrate. Do not keep with loaches or puffers.
Compatibility
Compatible with peaceful fish, shrimp, and other snails. Avoid fish that bite antennae and Assassin Snails.
