Behavior & Temperament
Peaceful and slow. Moves gracefully over the substrate. Gently excavates. Does not damage plants with sturdy leaves. Active during day and night.
Feeding
Omnivore - snail food, blanched vegetables, algae, spirulina, bottom wafers
Breeding
Viviparous. Produces one fry at a time, wrapped in a milky sac. Extremely slow reproduction. Weeks-long intervals between births.
Care Notes
Requires warm water (26-30°C) and slightly alkaline. Supplement calcium for a healthy shell. Fine sandy substrate. Sensitive to copper.
Compatibility
Excellent for peaceful community tanks. Compatible with shrimp, small fish and other snails. Avoid Assassin Snails.
