About
The Powder Blue Tang is considered by many the most beautiful of all tangs. Its bright pale blue body with a black snout, yellow dorsal fin, and white throat is spectacular. However, it is one of the most challenging marine fish, extremely prone to diseases and intolerant of similar tankmates.

Active and territorial fish. Very aggressive toward other tangs and similarly colored fish. Requires plenty of space to swim and graze algae. Sharp caudal spine.
Feeding
Herbivore. Primarily plant-based diet: nori algae, spirulina, fresh vegetables. Supplement with mysis and brine shrimp. Varied and frequent feeding is crucial.
Breeding
Oviparous. Pelagic spawner. Does not reproduce in home aquariums.
Care Notes
Only for experienced aquarists. MANDATORY quarantine (minimum 4 weeks). LARGE tank with strong flow and high oxygenation. Abundant plant-based diet. Excellent water quality. Extremely prone to ich.
